What do I do if my garage door cable comes off the pulley?
There are several reasons that a cable might come off, including the door slamming forcefully and causing the cable to “jump out,” a broken spring, loose or uneven tension, or age and deterioration of the cable. While it may look like a straightforward fix, the process is actually complex because the springs and cables are under considerable tension and hold considerable weight. It’s best to call us and let our professionals diagnose and repair the issue.
How do I open my door if the power goes out?
Many openers have a battery backup that opens the door during brief power outages. Otherwise, garage doors are equipped with an emergency release cord that is attached to the carriage that runs along the opener track. If you pull down on this cord, it releases the door so it can be opened manually.
